Frequently asked questions

Lead times, custom orders, leather care, payment, shipping: answers to the most common questions.

Lead times

How long does a custom piece take to make?

Since each piece is made by hand, one at a time, lead times depend on the project's complexity, the workshop's workload and the waiting list: allow anywhere from two weeks to several months. An estimated lead time comes with the quote, and I'll let you know if there's a significant delay. You receive photos of the key stages while your piece is being made.

How soon does my shop order ship?

In-stock pieces are carefully packed and shipped within a few business days of payment confirmation. You receive an email as soon as your order ships.

How can I follow my order's progress?

Every order has its own tracking link, included in your confirmation and shipping emails. It works for shop orders and custom pieces alike, with no account to create.

Custom orders

How does a custom order work?

Your piece comes to life in five steps:

  1. 1. Getting in touch

It all starts with a conversation. You tell me about your world, your inspirations, what you dream of seeing come to life behind your GM screen. Every detail counts: a mood, a color, a memory from a campaign. The more you share, the better I can imagine a piece that feels like yours.

  2. 2. Design & quote

From your ideas, I shape a custom proposal: materials, lights, effects, atmosphere. I put your vision into words, suggest suitable options and spell out the technical constraints. You then receive a detailed quote, based on the project's complexity and the materials chosen.

  3. 3. Reserving your spot in my order book

When you approve the project, a deposit reserves your spot in my schedule. I work alone, by hand, and only take a limited number of orders to keep my standards consistently high. Your project then joins the queue of upcoming pieces.

  4. 4. Making it, between craftsmanship and engineering

Your project takes shape in my workshop. Every step gets the same care I'd give my own game table. You receive photos of the key stages so you can follow along.

  5. 5. Delivering a one-of-a-kind piece

Once finished, your piece is carefully packed and shipped with tracking. You receive a beautiful object, built to last and, above all, truly one of a kind. A piece that carries your world and my craft.

Can I get an idea of the price before contacting you?

Yes! For GM screens, use the online configurator: choose your options and get an instant estimate. You can then contact me to finalize the quote.

Is a deposit required?

Yes, accepting the quote comes with a deposit that reserves your spot in the workshop's schedule. The balance is paid before the piece ships or is handed over.

Can I change my project after approving the quote?

It's possible, but any change requested after approval may affect the price and the lead time.

What can you make?

Custom GM screens, dice towers, bindings, crests, boxes and tabletop roleplaying accessories — in solid wood, full-grain leather and brass, with electronics (LEDs, screens…) built in if you like. Everything can be tailored to your wishes: if you can imagine it behind your screen, let's talk.

Leather care

How do I care for the leather on my piece?

Vegetable-tanned full-grain leather needs little care: a soft, dry cloth for dust, and once or twice a year a thin layer of colorless leather balm or cream to nourish it. Avoid household cleaners and too much water.

Will the leather change over time?

Yes, and that's intended: vegetable tanning develops a natural patina that darkens slightly and grows more beautiful with handling. Your piece comes alive the more you use it.

What should I do if the leather gets wet or stained?

Blot without rubbing, then let it dry at room temperature, away from any heat source. Once dry, nourish the leather with a colorless balm. If in doubt, contact me before using any product.

Payment

Which payment methods do you accept?

Secure online card payment for the shop. For custom orders, payment follows the terms set out in the quote (online payment, bank transfer or check).

Is online payment secure?

Yes: payments are processed by Stripe, a certified provider. No card details are processed or stored on this site.

Can I cancel my order?

For standard shop products, you have the 14-day legal withdrawal period. Custom pieces, being clearly personalized, are not eligible (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code) — see the Terms of Sale.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

From the workshop near Lyon, I ship with Colissimo to France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Italy. For other destinations, contact me through the contact form.

How much does shipping cost?

It depends on the parcel's weight and destination, and is calculated and shown before you confirm your order.

Can I pick up my piece in person?

Yes, for custom pieces an in-person handover can be arranged depending on where you are. Let's discuss it when you order.
